Farmed
I'm being farmed and no matter how hard I try to barter with them they told me specifically they like to destroy people. They have attacked me ten + times a DAY. Apparently this is completely legal and nothing will be done about it. I'm quitting. I will tell others to not join because of this stupid rule that "every thing goes".

Yea some people just like to kill people. and some people have skills. Sucks to be you if you land close to either one of these people. even more so if they are both..
Just roll a new village and try again. Or a differant severr. maby you just started at a fail time.

Usually there are few, if any, mercy rules in such games.... as zeke said it is all chance where you land, and if you really don't like your situation try somewhere else! There are so many servers to choose from, eventually you will find a good place and time to start and settle in to the game.

I don't know, but to me that seems like a much more professional approach. You could say something like this:
"Farming is a very important part of the game, you shouldn't take it so personally. There are many safeguards to help beginning players get on their feet and ensure they don't go down that lonely road of becoming someones farm. First of all you have the beginners protection, where you cannot be attacked for so many days, and this should provide adequate time for any active player to at least build a cranny and level it a couple of times to protect a reasonable amount of resources from any raiders.
Secondly you should build defensive soldiers as soon as you can to deter raiders. Last but certainly not least, the game allows players to form alliances, and a good alliance will help its members by reinforcing them when they are being attacked. However these safeguards won't always be effective, especially if you join a server late, or are unlucky enough to land your village in a place surrounded by much larger players.
This is a situation where you should delete and start over, hoping your next attempt will land you in an area occupied only by newer players much like yourself. I think most all players have experienced what you are going through at one time or another, and believe me I know it's not fun.
But before you quit the game entirely and leave with a sour taste in your mouth, I think you should delete and start a new village where only lower population players will be around you. Perhaps this time you will be the farmer and not the farmee! Trust me the game is much more entertaining in this position, and the further along it progresses the more exciting it becomes! Good luck and have fun!"

I am very new to the game and your post has helped with some confusion. I like the concept hope I can grasp it.

i'm being farmed at the moment, got a few attacks last night. Thing is, these guys have been attacking every day, and got nothing due to my crannies. You'd think they'd get the message and go farm someone else, but so far, they've done nothing but increase attacks. Several attacks per day by small armies, led by people with small brains i'd think.

Actually, they're trying to catch you off guard.
See, if your population has been going up, or if they're just skeptical, then the farmer assumes that you're hiding your resources from them in any way possible.
Even if your crannies completely cover your warehouse.
At least, this is my experience.

Little clues...
There are a number of ways a newbie can protect themselfs.
I fell into server 8.com 6 months ago and started playing. Huge alliances all around me and more experienced players hitting everything in site. I learned who to play and protect myself from the begining. I am glad that I picked a Gaul first time for it saved me a lot of headaches.
First - cranny up!
Yes, they help hide your resources.
Second - build, build build...
Yes, build the basics. Rally point, market, cranny, barreks and your fields!
Third - protection.
Build your wall! Get your defenses ready to stave off attacks!
Fourth - Hide your troops!
Build your troops up as defensive as possible. Get a couple and send them to someone as reinforcements. Want to be creative? Send them to the guy that is attacking you and call them back after a few minutes. They hit his food supply for that little time and you call them back. Then send them on a 9 hour march in the morning to someone else as reinforcements and then call them back. You do this and in no time you have a huge force! FYI: Your troops eat the other players food from the time they get there to the time they get back. Only do it to your attacker during the begining of your force build up. Later, they will know what you have and the outcome will be bad.
Fifth - Record attack times!
Yes, it is illegal but people still do it. They use bots (scripts) that will allow them to set attack times on your village. If you see a patern in the attack times, usually 30 minutes appart or happens 24 hours a day 7 days a week the chances are they are using a bot. Contact the Multi Hunter at coordinates 0, 0 (they are there on every game, they are the first created). Title it "Possible Bot" so they know what is happening. Give the information that you have found through your recording of the attacks and they will look into it. What will happen? Well the MH (Multi-Hunter) will do a number of things based on what he finds. He can ban the account (the player will no longer be able to play), fine them resources/troops, or they can even delete the account! Thus you will no longer be harrased!
Sixth - Attack!
Once your forces have been built up sufficiently through the above tacktics, fight back! You can then get through their defenses and hit them hard! You are now farming them and they run away crying.
I really hope this helps a lot of you newbies out there keep your resources and enjoy the game. Now there is no excuse to being farmed.
Doug
